Ministry of EMR Received WTP Opinion for Four Consecutive Years

Commission VII of the Indonesian House of Representatives (DPR RI) gave its appreciation for the WTP (Wajar Tanpa Pengecualian, unqualified) opinion achieved by Ministry of Energy and Mineral Resources (EMR) for the Ministry's Financial Statements. The WTP opinion has been given for four consecutive years since 2016. Besides expressed orally, the appreciation was also stated by Commission VII of DPR RI in the conclusions of the Work Meeting with Minister of EMR held on Wednesday (26/8).

"Commission VII of DPR RI appreciates Minister of EMR of RI because the Ministry's 2019 financial performance achieved a WTP opinion from the Indonesia's Audit Board (BPK)," said Deputy Head of Commission VII Ramson Siagian when chairing the Work Meeting on the Financial Statements of Central Government (Ministry of EMR) of Fiscal Year 2019.

Additionally, Commission VII of DPR RI requested Minister of EMR and the rank and file of the Ministry to follow up all findings by BPK completely.

As publicly known, the Financial Statements of Ministry of EMR between 2016 and 2019 received a WTP opinion. According to Minister of EMR Arifin Tasrif, the auditor's opinion shows the accountability of the ministry's financial management has improved. For this reason, Minister of EMR requested all officials and the rank and file of Ministry of EMR to maintain the achievement.

"Echelon I and Echelon II officials as well as the rank and file of Ministry of EMR must maintain the WTP opinion, and must continue to make efforts to improve good governance and the quality of financial reporting," said Minister Arifin.

Minister Arifin went on to explain that in addition to the WTP opinion, Ministry of EMR ranked first in the EKA (Evaluasi Kinerja Anggaran, Budget Performance Evaluation) by Ministry of Finance in the category "State Ministries and Agencies with medium budget allocation", and received an incentive amounting to Rp80 billion in the same year.

"In 2019, Ministry of EMR ranked first in the EKA evaluation in the category "State Ministries and Agencies with medium budget allocation", and received an incentive in the amount of Rp80 billion. Ministry of EMR got an EKA grade of 96.36. The EKA evaluation shows the achievement of strategic targets, conformity between planning and budget realization, compliance with regulations, effectiveness of activity performance, and efficiency in activity performance," Minister of EMR concluded.
