Electricity HR Center, Medco Power Signs Cooperation Agreement

Center for Human Resource Development of Electricity, New, Renewable Energy and Energy Conservation (PPSDM KEBTKE) of Ministry of Energy and Mineral Resources (EMR) on Tuesday (24/11) signs a cooperation agreement with PT Medco Power Indonesia. The agreement will serve as the basis for training courses provided by the Center to employees of PT Medco Power Indonesia, an electricity provider owned by Indonesia's largest private energy company MedcoEnergi International Tbk.

"This (agreement) has been initiated since early 2020, but had to be delayed several time. Alhamdulillah, thank God, we can realize it today," said Head of PPSDM KEBTKE Laode Sulaeman.

Medco Power, continued Laode, has continuously sent their employees on the training and certification programs organized by the PPSDM KEBTKE. "This year, the company have sent 69 employees, which were divided in 5 batches, for the certification program," Laode said.

Presiden Director of PT Medco Power Indonesia Eka Satria expressed his gratitude for the cooperation. "Thank you for the partnership/services offered by the PPSDM KEBTKE to PT MPI, although there was previously no legal umbrella for the cooperation. I hope all levels of PT MPI employees can unlock the cooperation potential of this agreement," said Satria.

The PPSDM EBTKE is a unit within the Ministry of EMR in charge of providing education and training programs in the fields of electricity; new, renewable energy and energy conservation. It is organized under the Ministry's Human Resource Development Agency. (IY)
