JAKARTA - A consumtive lifestyle pattern is a serious concern for the Minister of Energy and Mineral Resources (EMR) Ignatius Jonan. According to him, this is a challenge for the State Civil Apparatus (ASN) in the Ministry of ESDM because such a lifestyle will be prone to cause gratuities.

"In my perspective, the biggest challenge (gratification control) is the change of the times and the lifestyle changes are not followed by the rules of the welfare of the state apparatus," said Jonan when giving a speech related to Gratification Socialization by the Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK) in the Ministry of Energy and Mineral Resources, Thursday (27/4).

Jonan added that as a public servant, ASN should understand all the rules relating to gratification control so avoid any form of misappropriation.

In order to anticipate this, Jonan strives to continuously improve the welfare of employees in proportion to the improvement of public services conducted by ASN in the Ministry of Energy and Mineral Resources. The real form taken is the Ministry of Energy and Mineral Resources in cooperation with the KPK to run the Coordination and Supervision (Korsup) of the Energy Sector as well as holding a workshop on the development of integrity culture in the Ministry of Energy and Mineral Resources.

Not only that, as the Ministry of ESDM has received two awards from the KPK in 2015, namely Gratification Control as the Ministry/Institution/ Local Government with the Best Gratification Control Unit of 2015 and Compliance of Gratification Reporting as the Ministry/Institution that has Implemented Gratification Control Program PPG) with the largest Total Gratuity Gratified to State Owned by 2015.
