Minister of EMR Won Most Popular Leader in Social Media 2020

Ministry of Energy and Mineral Resources (EMR) again made a success at the 6th Jambore PR Indonesia which was held virtually on Wednesday (9/9). Minister of EMR Arifin Tasrif won Most Popular Leader in Social Media 2020 in the Minister category.

"We're glad that in this virtual era, the EMR sector has had a lot of positive exposure in the social media, and one of them is shown by this award. We've focused the distribution of the EMR sector's issues on the social media to reach a wider audience; we've rebranded the package to make it up-to-date and understandable by all layers of the society," said Agung Pribadi, Head of Bureau of Communication, Public Information Services, and Cooperation in Jakarta (9/9).

Through data collection in the period 1-30 June 2020, Minister of EMR was selected one of the national leaders receiving highest positive exposure in six social media platforms, namely Twitter, Facebook, Instagram, YouTube, blogs, and online news account. Decision on winners has been based on the quantity of netizens' positive conversation expose, by considering the reporting contents which was manually analyzed by PR Indonesia and ISENTIA INDONESIA.

Besides Minister of EMR, the winners in this category are Basuki Hadimuljono (Minister of Public Works and Public Housing), Erick Thohir (Minister of SOEs), Nadiem Makarim (Minister of Education and Culture), Prabowo Subianto (Minister of Defense), Sri Mulyani (Minister of Finance), and Wishutama (Minister of Tourism and Creative Economy).

The Jambore PR Indonesia is the largest, annual Public Relations (PR) event in Indonesia and it has been held since 2015. This event is aimed at showing appreciation to PR leaders, both in the governmental and non-governmental sectors, for their contribution in disseminating their institution's policies to the public.
