Minister of EMR Swore in High Level Officials under Strict Health Protocol

Minister of Energy and Mineral Resources (EMR) Arifin Tasrif today, Thursday (18/6) refreshes the ministry's organization by swearing in 3 (three) Pratama High Officials under strict health protocol.

The swearing-in is only attended by those being sworn in and the swearing-in officers and held at Chairil Saleh Building of Secretariat General of Ministry of EMR in Jakarta. Other officials of the ministry can only watch the ceremony via video conference.

"This swearing-in is different from the previous ones, that is, we hold the ceremony during the Covid-19 pandemic, so health protocol must be applied; the number of invited guests is strictly limited, other guests can watch virtually," said Arifin in his opening speech.

According to Arifin, the speed of infrastructure construction and works execution in the EMR sector is the biggest challenge in times of the Covid-19 pandemic. "Some projects will be delayed because restrictions are imposed in order to obey health protocol," explained Arifin.

Arifin urges all ranks of the EMR sector to find the solutions to the challenge. "I want you to find the solutions and breakthroughs so that the EMR projects can still run, but by obeying the health protocol at the same time," he insisted.
